More than just weddings...

Yesterday, the Junior League of Athens (Stewards of the Taylor-Grady House) held their annual Past Presidents Luncheon at the Taylor-Grady House. I wanted to share this with you all because it's just another example of the variety of events we hold and can hold at the TGH. It was a simple, elegant luncheon with a great group of women and a great message! Many of these ladies have come to know the Taylor-Grady House as their home away from home so it was really nice to have them back for a visit!

Check out a few pictures below to see how we set up the ballroom for this afternoon affair. It's often a misconception that we are strictly a wedding venue. However, this week alone, we have booked a wedding ceremony & reception, rehearsal dinner & a 75th birthday party! Keep us in mind as events come up in your life where you need a gathering place and don't count us out for birthday parties, luncheons, business meetings, socials, rehearsal dinners or even bridal & baby showers! We can host them all! It's a busy time of year!!

It is a very inspiring post to go through for excellent story about sustainability; food and environment in urban areas. The successful example of urban farming in Chicago can be followed in other cities to make the cities greener and less polluted. I've enjoyed reading the interesting discussion.
